In 2016, CPS initiated a Water Quality Program throughout the district to conduct testing of each school’s potable water distribution system to identify locations that exceeded EPA requirements.

C|ZDS assisted in the development and implementation of mitigation protocols tailored to the specific conditions encountered at a facility. We subsequently worked with CPS and Loyola University’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability to confirm the positive impact of routine water flushing on maintaining water quality.
